Columbia Sportwear Brand, through the recommendation of the Hirdaramani Knit cluster, has entrusted Api foundation with distributing 8,465 units of assorted men’s and women’s apparel of a value over LKR 16-Million ($ 43,891/-), among the most deserving communities in Sri Lanka.
The project will be driven to identify communities in need and distributing the accepted garments upholding highest level of transparency to our donors, Columbia Sportwear Brand, and Hirdaramani knit cluster and all other stake holders involved.
Through this project, Api Foundation aspire to help in improving the lives of the underprivileged people with the resources and power that we possess. It was a privilege to be able to do so and through this project, we also aroused a strong sense of responsibility in ourselves, as a charity organization which is able to help the people in need in a sustainable way. Moreover, by executing this Clothes Donation Drive, we were also able to perform and strengthen our personal values and behave in a way that is true to our own ethical beliefs.
The objectives of this project is to aid the families in need in Sri Lanka, to raise awareness about poverty in Sri Lanka.
