The reusable sanitary pads provided to these schoolchildren will allow them to manage their menstrual health and hygiene without worrying about the financial burden of purchasing disposable products.
The Api Foundation Sri Lanka would like to extend its sincere thanks to all the donors who have supported the “Ayata Api” charity project. A Vision for the Future: Improving Menstrual Health and Hygiene for All Women in Sri Lanka
The joy and happiness that we witnessed on the faces of the schoolchildren who received our reusable sanitary pads was truly heartwarming. For many of these children, this donation meant that they would no longer have to miss school because of their menstrual cycle or resort to using unhygienic and uncomfortable alternatives. They can now attend school with confidence and dignity, knowing that they have the necessary resources to manage their periods.

We were touched by the gratitude and appreciation shown by the children and their teachers. Many of them expressed their thanks through smiles, hugs, and kind words. We were reminded once again of the profound impact that even small acts of kindness can have on people’s lives. It is our hope that this donation drive will empower these young girls and help them realize their full potential. By supporting their menstrual health and hygiene, we are supporting their education and their future. We are grateful to all of our donors who have made this possible and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of women and children in need.
